With the horrific storms impacting the US and the Philippines at the moment, I thought I'd start a thread where our FOLCS from those areas can check in (if possible) and let us know they're okay.

Stay safe!

We are doing OK. No power outages. Winds and rain are strong at times and then go away. It ain't over yet!

Also okay here. Had strong winds and deluges in the bands of the hurricane; officially it was a tropical storm. Lost power for about 23 hours, and for part that time also had loss of cell phones and landlines. Don't know official count, but we had over 20 inches of rain. This is the second 500 year flood to hit NC and SC in 2 years (Hurricane Matthew in 2016). Much better forecasting of potential strength this year. (Matthew blindsided the forecasters, not expecting it to be so devastating inland this far south)

We had a lot of flooding around us. Many bridges were wiped out and many of us were stranded at our home for days. We lost power for a few days. Now that things have settled and the water has come down you can see the devastation in the towns around us.
