There are only ten more parts remaining in this fic. Matters are going to start moving rather quickly. Ralph wants to get rid of his ill-gotten 'information' from Lois' computer. Todd and Clark have compared notes, Stephanie is retiring and Stacy has news for Lois.

Now its time for dinner between our two favorite investigative reporters!

Dear readers, please let me know what you are thinking! wink

P.S. Because this story is running far behind it original schedule, Parts 23 and 24 will be posted on Wednesday and Friday respectively. Promise!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Another nicely done chapter. I love how you are slowing drawing out plot points to further complete the picture the story describes. Much like a true investigation progresses. I am glad you are posting two more this week as I am anxious to see how this plays out and what Peggy is up to. Templar has two plants in the Daily Planet or is this one Lex/Adriana's? I guess she could be working for the Star but I doubt Carpenter would think to do this, however Linda King...

Awaiting the next chapter.

Yeah, I've been suspicious of Peggy, too. I don't know what her agenda is, but she sure does seem to be up to something. Pieces of the A-plot seem to be moving into place, though we haven't heard from Lana lately. I'm wondering if she's going to get caught up in her husband's drama or if she'll come off as an innocent bystander. Or she may walk away with a whole lot of money. wink

Yeah, most investigations take a very long time to close, not like a 45 minute TV show. But the various plot lines are drawing closer together towards their conclusion.

Peggy is a wild card so far ...

At this point in the story Lana is working with her Dad to finally finish work the Napoleon exhibit. Still, its not like she needs to work! laugh

I also like the way the investigation is progressing. The different parts are progressing realistically. Can't wait to see the complete picture.
Will be interesting to see if both Ralph and Peggy are in Lois's sights-- and how soon. laugh
Looking forward to more!

I've been worried that Stephanie would decide to send the materials to Linda King instead. I'm glad she's still planning on sending them to Lois, but I'm still concerned she'll change her mind.

I wonder if Tempus realises just how many enemies he's making? Looks like his contempt for the past is blinding him to how much he needs others to get his plan to work.

No worries, Ralph will be taken care of in the way that befits a traitor.

Any investigation is like a puzzle, many intricate pieces have to fit together in order to make the whole. Only two more pieces remain ...

Stephanie knows what she's doing, nonetheless it will take courage to do it.

Wise people realize they do not get to any place of prominence without a good team behind them, that is true in corporations as well as sports teams.

Templar is not a wise person.

What a lot of great information going on in this chapter! You can feel the pace beginning to increase as everything begins to fit together, interlink with each other. I've always loved the details of this story, but seeing them all start to play off each other has been really impressive in this section smile.

AND, now we have Lois and Clark getting some time together hyper clap. Really excited for this next chapter. It's been a bit since they saw each other, and I'm really looking forward to them catching up.

Wonderful, Morgana smile

Dinner for Lois and Clark is going to be very pleasant and a great way for both of them to catch up with each other. One of my favorite scenes was when they went on their first date. He worked hard to look so sharp and she a classic beauty with those pearls. Eating dinner tonight should be a relaxing time... sloppy

“No, we have a lot more in common than that. There is something we both cherish and that’s our reputations. Somehow, this co-worker of mine passed on your name, Sylvia Nygaard and Dennis Shaw’s, we have to set the record straight and regain our careers. Unfortunately; none of that is going to come about unless we work together.”

This right here is where the music would cue on the pivotal point in the plot. Nicely done. clap
