Feedback folder.

Yay, I FINALLY finished something!

Just got caught up on all 3 parts. I really enjoyed it. Glad Lois was able to get him to look beyond himself and get him back there, I like that in your version, she figures him out so he has her to lean on from now on.

That was a really nice and powerful conclusion. I loved how you portrayed the power of Clark knowing that he had a friend who would support him no matter what, and how that inspired him to turn his decision around. I loved how Lois convinced Clark by pointing out that helping people was just the kind of person he is. I love showing Clark having real emotional pain, and not just someone who has to be Superman "automatically", but might have doubts about that decision. Overall, it just gave me the powerful and positive feelings of "what Superman is all about". Nicely done! thumbsup

Wahoo! It's finished! dance

Superman was back in the sky.

That pretty much says it all.

Awesome. I loved this story and I'm very pleased to see it finished! Once again we see how much Clark needs Lois. I've seen the quote "Clark Kent's Superman is Lois Lane" and this story shows that so clearly. When he gets confused, hurt, bogged down in doubts, she is there to help him remember why he does what he does. Thank you for sharing, NK!

Wow, lots of feedback!

jackiek- Clark does have a tendency to brood over things. I thought Lois would be a good person to give them the metaphorical slap on the back of the head he needed

TaliaJoy- thank you! And I'm glad you enjoyed it even though the previous part didn't resonate with you that much. It always struck me that Superman (and any other superhero, for that matter) is supposed to just basically take all the death and destruction they see in their stride and never show any of the effects of dealing with it. I thought this was a bit more realistic.

Morgana- yes, finally! My story count has been very low this year frown I need to get my butt into gear.

PuffyTiger- Lois saves Clark almost as much as he saves her smile

Thank you, everyone, for commenting. I'm glad you liked my ending! Now if I can just get Unmasked finished...

I was probably too harsh on Part 2, it's just one of those pet peeve things, really.

Maybe.

Maybe he made a difference.

..or Maybe you need to have your head examined for thinking you didn't make a difference? Hello? Prometheus? Space Shuttle in the sky??? huh Ring any bells? Nope? Talking to myself again...

Well he is behaving like a three year old right now and throwing petulant temper tantrums is what they do. splat

Lois:"Are you Superman?"

Clark:"Uh....." (scrambles for an answer in his depression and can't find one.... (laughs uncontrollably) "Of course not...That would be... Why? What have you heard?"

“Really? Have you ever been kicked out of your home? No, Lois, you don’t. I spent years- *years*- travelling around this planet, trying to find somewhere to call home. Somewhere I belonged. When I finally found it… they forced me out of my home on the strength of an unproven theory. I have never felt so different… so alien… as I did in that moment.” He paused, swallowing hard. “And now they want Superman to come back like nothing happened.” He trailed off.

Mmmm, yeah he has a point but he should remember Lois was his biggest supporter and advocate fighting to clear Superman's name. Did he forget that part?

Haven't you learned yet that Lois is ALWAYS right? You can't win buddy.

“It was trial by media, and you know it.”

Ummm, last I checked the Daily Planet was the media. Did he forget they were his biggest advocates? I mean Perry put his name on the line to get Superman out of jail. Did he forget that part? What about Lois fighting against all odds to PROVE Superman wasn't the cause of the heatwave? How about a little gratitude for those that DID support him?

His eyes lost their hard, blazing edge. “No, not all of it. You kept digging.” For a moment one corner of his mouth quirked into a half smile. “Thank you, Lois.”

It's about time... grumble

So help.”

Superman was back in the sky.

All is right in the world. clap dance

Okay I wish we'd had more of a heart to heart talk with Lois and Clark about his alter ego but overall it was good. I like how you showed Clark's conflicting emotions on how he was treated it is a valid point and might be feeding my muse some ideas here after Epiphany is complete. smile thumbsup
