Going through season one's episodes lately and I'm trying to pinpoint exactly how many things (good or bad) Lex Luthor is responsible for/involved in. For instance, the pilot of course, is all Luthor. Counted separately, that includes the Messenger and Prometheus stuff, plus killing Antoinette Baines and Samuel Platt. On the other hand, there's situations where Lex is involved in a project but is not the bad guy of the episode (i.e. HiM, where Thaddeus Roarke is the villain sabotaging project Shockwave, but Lex is the one that started Project Shockwave).

Not the bad guy, but still apart of the plot.

Just wondering if there are any other instances I can't remember where Lex Luthor is involved in the plot but not distinctively the villain of the episode. He's definitely apart of a lot of the season, but just want to make sure he didn't have a hand in anything else I'm forgetting. (For instance- I'm not a fan of "Illusions of Grandeur" so I don't watch that episode often, were there any Lex scenes in there?)

I have looked it up in the script, Lex is mentioned in Ilusions of Grandeur but he's not part of it:

Cat tells the others that she has a date with Arthur Chow, who is even richer than Lex (according to Jimmy), but he's not as handsome (according to Lois).

I am currently rewatching the series and the next episode would be Ilusions of Grandeur, tell me if I shall look for something specific :-)

First one I can come up with is Fly Hard in Season 1.

He isn't the primary villain in PML but he is, so to speak, a catalyst.

Another one would be Ides of Metropolis, Lex isn't the villain, but he's certainly involved.

I don't remember much of that one either. How is he involved? Isn't that the one where Lois is harboring a fugitive?

I keep trying to scan the scripts because I think that's faster, but I'm gonna have to just break out the dvds and binge it all... poor me. grin

Thank you!! Good to know the future season stuff too. The hardest thing I keep running into is that for all of Lex's plans to go off without a hitch, he has to be juggling like five plots at a time.
