Story is Here.I hope this story isn't *too* dark. Please comment, even if you didn't like it. Also, I don't think I'll be doing a sequel any time soon, though a prequel is always a possibility.

 Well done! You had me until the end, wondering what war Lois started.  I should have remembered tomorrow's date. Two questions: Did I miss the story about the pixie dust? and WHAT did Lois do? Love the mouse ears!

Brilliant! The perfect contrast to BvS. Actually a prequel is probably needed to clarify the 'pixie dust' comment.
By 'dark' you must have meant it occurred after dark right? Which lends the question, is it ever daylight in Gotham? You never see anything depicted in the daylight so I can only assume it is night time there most of the time...

Bwhahahaha! Excellent! Here I was, wondering just *what* Lois had gone and done to make the world into a dis-utopia. Just what did she do to Batman? Oooh, is she responsible for the Bat-Nipples of the Batman and Robin (movie) era suit?

You got me good on this story. I, too, was imagining a dystopia. My only question is why were Clark and son on the streets to begin with? Why didn't Clark just fly them to roof of the relevant building directly?
Thanks for the links to the earlier stories. They each brought a smile to my lips.
Please don't wait another 3-4 years to post the next battle in this war. I'd love for the skirmishes to be annual.

Hi Queenie! the end of his cigarette glowing a hellish red in the dark just before the man stepped out into the murky halo of one of the few working streetlamps. What’s going on?  He frowned. "I already told you the story," he replied, his jaw twitching as he remembered that fateful day so soon after he and Lois were first wed. That doesn’t sound good… He knelt in front of his son, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Son," he said, "Don't blame your mother for this. She had no idea what her actions would lead to, and really, they don't even matter anymore. This is a war."   They worked in tandem, faster than the human eye could see; the boy remembered everything he had been taught. Clark felt more proud of him than words could express. What’s he doing…? The commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department frowned Oh.  Oh! /checks date/ Oh… at the case files in his hand as he reached over to turn on the bat-signal. So, what’s going to happen? A pony? The El-crest? the shape of Mickey Mouse ears silhouetted against the clouds.  "Every year with those two! At least now, I know why he sent Robin to Metropolis with a box of 'pixie dust'." So, what’s with the pixie dust? Also, I wonder if Batman’s got a chance, even with Robin, now that Superman’s gotten biiiiizzzzy! You have created such a wonderful tradition, Mary!  Michael
