Lavinia is right once more! It would have been the height of scandal to ride in a close carriage, without escort, with a man who wasn't a relative. At least, she has an excuse if he's her fiance. wink

EDIT: Thanks for including the French translation. I was totally lost at what Lavinia was asking of Cedric, especially since their whole conversation was in French. It wasn't until he said "romantic" did I understand... kind of.

Awwwwwwwwwww love / grin / notworthy / clap ! Wonderful!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! jump

Such a happily ever after. Everything fell into place. They will have an amazing life together...along with her father, Jacques, and all the people of the estate.

What a perfect way to end this! Standing ovation--completely impressed, Chris!

Laura

(PS--I just read the few paragraphs from 46's section...I wasn't sure if an epilogue was in place as of yet/etc., when I openned it...

Just wanted to say, really looking forward to reading that, and also, again, thanks so much for sharing this story with us. I'm so glad that you returned to it, finished it, and it truely is an incredibly unique piece of writing. It's been a joy to read smile. )

Hello, everyone!
Just wanted to say that, contrary to prevailing rumor, Chris has not been kidnapped by aliens! LOL! Just RL, being a new grandma and other stuff that keeps popping up. I hope you all had a great Christmas, New Years, etc., etc.!
It was my intention to get through the holidays and all that excitement and then get back to writing, but that didn't go as planned. I haven't written a word and the binder with the Avenger in it has been slowly gathering dust. :-(
On the up side, new grandson is healthy and growing--he's 3 1/2 months old already--and I get to see him often which is wonderful.
Thank you all for the great feedback. I just read through your comments and enjoyed them very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to beginning my rewriting/editing of the Avenger and incorporating some of those ideas. I'm also looking forward to catching up on all the new stories I see. Y'all have been busy, busy, busy! I'm a bit envious but also glad to see that things here have been moving right along.
I have a project I'm working on (non-fanfic related) that's due on Sunday. So, plan B is for me to get back to some writing and hanging out on the boards starting next week. Can't wait!
Thanks again for the feedback. I'll answer any questions you left in the feedback asap and start catching up on your stories, too. The Canterbury Tales thread looks like fun.
