Dueling by swords? Yes, this is set earlier than most of the Regency era stories I read. So, Cedric didn't kill Lucius, merely got the first point in? Thus the duel ended? huh Truth be known, I'm a bit rusty on my dueling rules, especially by sword.

My first thought was that Cedric (or Lavinia) was shot at...but now, thinking a bit more, I'm wondering if Jacques shot his pistol. At Lucius...or maybe Davis/etc?
