You handled the numerous (mis)understandings between characters brilliantly. And on a more serious note, I agree with Clark: Lane's parents will probably not be very happy campers when they return home; their little boy will have grown up so much in their absence. Granted, they should have had "the talk" with him long since, but even so, it will surely hurt them to know how many milestones in his life they will have missed out on. Looking forward to part five. Clark looked out the window again. "How about if we split up? We'll cover more ground that way." Lane glanced out the window, then frowned at Clark. "You're kidding," he said softly. Clark shrugged. Something’s going on. Something more than just Lane being a smartass. Quote "You know," Lane said slowly, looking at Clark, "I...think I might have left my...homework...over at Jake's house." Clark's eyes widened. "No!" he said firmly, "your parents would kill me!" Oh boy. Wants to do ‘homework’? Oh boy oh boy oh boy. He’s not even dressed to go out! Quote Lois rolled her eyes. "Clark, I think he's probably old enough to go to a friend's house and get his homework." Lane gave Clark a pleading look. They both glanced out the window. "Only if I go with you," Clark relented. ALT-LOIS: You allowed him what? LOIS: Don’t look at me. It’s HIS fault! CLARK: ALT-CLARK: Quote Clark followed close behind. "Wait!" he called. "We haven't discussed what you're wearing!" See?
