I remember a line of dialog from a fic, where alt(?)-Clark tells Lana(?) that he "could never feel like a man in [her] arms", or something, but then clarifies that he's not talking about sex, I think. Maybe.

That's all I remember, and google site-search isn't helping. Does anyone know what fic this is?

In "Coming of Age" by Stopquitdont Clark says to Lana:

“It means that if I’d married you, I would have never felt like a man in your arms.”
