Miranda should have cut her losses and realized Lex would never have gotten involved with her again. Still that is difficult to do when the emotions are involved. She had assumed a karate fighting stance and was prepared to do battle if necessary until Clark arrived, either as Clark or as Superman. Rats! It would have been so much fun to watch Lois clock Lex right in the chops! We rarely get to see anything like that, usually Lex gets his minions to do the fighting. Unfortunately, for Nigel, Clark was close. With a swift movement Clark pushed against the barrel and slide of Nigel's weapon, knocking it out of alignment relative to the hammer called being ‘out of battery' and making the weapon unable to fire. Wrapping his hand around the slide and receiver group he kept the weapon inoperative and twisting his hand he removed the weapon from Nigel's grip. As he was doing this he planted his right fist under Nigel's chin, lifting him a couple of inches into the air. A second later Nigel fell in a heap to the floor, unconscious. The proper way to disarm a really bad guy! What a perfect surprise. Nigel is going to wake up to a bad headache and unemployment. Did he think that anyone was going to allow their work partner to be mauled by his employer - even if he is the third richest man in the world. Go CLARK!!!

What did Miranda spray Lex with? He's acting more out of control than he must've in canon. (If he acted that way in canon, Lois wouldn't have continued dating him, Revenge or not.) I agree with Morgana. Lois is an expert at Karate; she doesn't need Clark to rescue her from a handsy date. Is she becoming too dependent on him now that they've gotten married?
What was Nigel thinking, escorting Kent from Lex Tower by gunpoint? If that doesn't shout "My boss is a bad guy" willing to kill of the competition, I don't know what does. Although, did he really think that Clark was going to buy that Nigel would actually drop him off at the DP? I'm sure only via shooting practice at the landfill. How naive does he think that farmboy is? I agree with Morgana again. What loser (cough... Ralph) would fall for Nigel's suggestion at the risk of his partner?
When Lex charged her at the railing and she stepped away, I wondered (slightly hoped) if he was going to fall over. That would have been a twist none of us would have been expecting.
I'm kind of hoping Clark will step out of the elevator and watch as Lois handles Lex herself. It would do all the egos involved some good. A bash to Lex's, a boon to Lois's, and Clark would see that his wife isn't some helpless victim. Win-Win. (well, no win for Lex, but I never want him to win.) A knock to Lex's cheek with her left fist (with the ring) would send the message he's refusing to hear.
Building up the suspense, Ken. What's going to happen next?

Yes, as far as Nigel knows that is all that there is to the relationship. He wasn’t there to hear Lois’s declaration of their married state.

Yes, that is one of the changes I made for this set. There are more surprises in store.
Lex had given Nigel specific directions to keep Kent away. How else could he do that?
Lex fall over the banister? No, there are more things in store for Lex Luthor. We can’t have him leave the series this early.
As for Clark standing by and watching Lois clean Luthor’s clock, I refer you to one of my earlier stories – “Lori and Clark – The New, New Adventures of Superman, Matchmaker Chronicles Volume 6” You can find it in the archive or on the BB.
