It has been such a long time since I don´t watch them on open TV here in Brazil. I have to survive on my old 10-year-old tapes and some of them are just ruined. Now, are you in the same situation? How many episodes do you have?

I only have 'The Family Hour'. But I've never watched it on purpose. When I feel like watching L&C, FH is not exactly my episode of choice frown
Besides, there are several eps I've never watched... whinging

Zero isn't an option? Years ago, I had all the episodes on tape, but I have long since gotten rid of them. I was maybe a sophmore I college when I threw them away. So, yeah, at least four years ago. They were horrible dust collectors. Plus, I have a policy that if I don't use something for a year, I get rid of it.

That´s an idea. Get rid of them but my tapes are still working and I don´t see any life beyond that. rotflol I´m sorry I didn´t put zero as an option but at least I put less than 20 in which zero might be included. I´m sorry about that. frown I guess I just didn´t think someone can actually live without them. My recent idea was to put them all in dvx but it is very expensive since i don´t have the equipment here and, i don´t want them doubled!!! Here in Brazil we didn´t have the original sound which sucks! I hope they get it on DVD soon.

All of them in two languages... how's that for obsessed? goofy

I very occasionally watch them again, mostly to get the feel for fanfic when I'm writing. And I really can't bring myself to throw away my old French tapes. huh

Anna, don´t we have somewhere around here a place in which we actually can download the episodes? confused
Gee, that would be something!!! I just don´t have 5 episodes. Whine, Whine, Whine (because it didn´t come out in Brazil, I don´t know why) frown Lord of the Flys (my stupid sister recorded something on my tape) mad , Soul Mates (I was almost dying at the hospital- because of a sickness and because i couldn´t watch the first episode after they got married) eek , Oedipus Wrecks (i guess i overrecorded with Seconds-Stupid girl!) mecry

Until I managed to get them on DVD (/me waves to very kind friend to did that for her), I used to have two full sets of all episodes. A SKY set and a BBC set.

The BBC cut the show to shreds each week, SKY (cable) didn't. Well, mostly. Except for one episode, Virtually Destroyed, where I think they swapped censors for a week.

Trusting SKY, I had absolutely no idea that they'd cut a chunk out of the episode and why a certain scene didn't really make much sense until I happened to catch the BBC version and all suddenly became clear. goofy Up to then every time I watched that episode I'd be frowning in puzzlement trying to work out what the producers had intended to mean.

After that, I figured I needed to tape every episode from both channels, so I could be sure of getting a 'whole' episode and miss out on nothing. laugh

I have all the episodes on tape. I recorded them all several times from TNT to be sure that if something happened to one of them that I would have backups. Now that they're not showing anymore, I'm awfully glad I did.

I have all the episodes on tape, and I recorded two times season 2-3-4 (Nan's same reason.
I have only translated version (I think italian voices of Clark and Lois are better than originals, but I'd like to have the original too!)

I've got two sets, like Nan & Simona. My really, really old set has like 6-8 eps jammed on a single tape. My new set which I made from the airings on TNT have only 2 per tape. I've got them stored in a gigantic Rubbermaid container, so there's no dust! :p

To my knowledge, no whinging You can only download them using WinMX or other sharing programs (provided that you'll find them), but if you're on dial-up like me it takes an eternity frown Which is why I haven't.

I have a full set of eps from ABC and I think I have a full set from TNT, and dozens of copies. This has served me well, because I have one set just for watching, and another set for making videos (that I don't wear out by watching, so they can be preserved.)

I could not imagine not having the eps on tape! There have been times when I have gone for months or even a year without watching any L&C. But I got back into it recently and I'd forgotten how wonderful it is, how much I NEED these eps! You may not know what you're missing.

the first time I saw the Pilot episode I have seen the whole episode (many years ago); the second time I thought it was a wise thing to register it, but the "I said nine, I thought you'd be naked" scene is missing. SIGH!(n.b. it was another TV channel) I'm a little sorry, because I saw a so important scene only one time!
Is this happened to you, too? (btw, I think this is the only case of cutted scenes here in Italy)

I recorded all the episodes on tape from the TNT reruns. Since they were recorded while I was at work, I have to deal with the ridiculously long commercial breaks.

That was until I secured a set of all the episodes on DVD-R. Now the old VHS tapes are just collecting dust. Actually, I don't watch the DVD-R's much either except for research for a fic.

Those of you without the episodes, I am sure some nice FoLC will tape/send the episodes to you if you just volunteer to pay for the tapes and the postage. I don't have the episodes so I can't volunteer.

I am sure if you asked nicely and offerred to pay for the blank tapes/dvds and the postage, rather than whined, someone would be happy to do it. FoLCs are really nice people smile .

Ok Laura smile . I´m not whining anymore. I was just making a statement that´s it. As I was saying it wil take ages for it to come to Brazil. that´s a problem for me.

Of course I´d pay for the DVDs. It would not only be my obbligation but a pleasure as well. If anyone could volunteer for that, I´d appreciate it. laugh what do you think Simona? Better in Italian or the original sound?

Okay, you got me curious, I went and checked... I have about 50 video tapes of L&C stuff. Some of that is promo/best of/gag reel stuff. Some episodes I have twice. Some tapes have 4-6 eps, some have only one or two. Some are in order, some aren't. I was not really very organized about this laugh Honestly, I have no idea how many episodes I have. I'd guess about half of them, but... I haven't looked at them in years, though, so I've no idea what quality they are anymore.

If I were set up to copy tapes, I'd offer to send some, but I'm not... and I don't think I'm quite ready to part with the originals smile

I´ll just wait for them on DVD here...or just ask someone who´s eventually going to the US to bring me them when it´s released. Do you think they will be released soon and all the 4 seasons? Does anyone know about that?

So Tank's my MN contact then (shipping would be cheapest) Tank I'm asking seriously, if you're willing to help out a whiny FoLC such as myself and share your EPs I would be eternally grateful and I'm willing to send blank tapes and UPS labels for shipping.

We have most of the episodes.

As far as I can tell we have all but two and those are intentional. Never on Sunday and the one with Drew Carey in it.

The reason for not including them were for personal theological reasons. Besides, the Drew Carey one was just awful.

If you go to Ebay and type in

"Lois and Clark" +DVD

there is a selection of a the episodes, each season sold seperately.

Please note that after paying, you have to request that the DVD's have labels and slim cases for an additional 10 bucks.

I do not know the seller or the quality, so buyer beware.

Buyer beware indeed. I'd be very wary of buying LNC DVDs on Ebay. There are too many scammers out there to be sure that you'll get what you pay for. frown Personally, I don't think it's worth the risk.

I've frequently been angered by auctions set on Ebay offering DVDs of Stargate, which are extremely nebulous on the fact that they're offering material taken from the TV. Bidders are often paying extortionate amounts and I'm fairly sure half of them think they're getting official merchandise. It's sickening.

I have all the episodes on VHS which I taped at SP from the network or TNT. I eliminated the commercials from most of them so they are second generation and the quality is not always very good. They include some extras like trailers for the next episodes and the hype for the wedding. I now have these transferred to DVD, thanks to a kind friend, and have no use for them. I'll gladly give them to anyone who'll pay the shipping costs. I haven't a clue as to what that would be for 44 cassettes. I would prefer not to break up the set. Just understand, these are not fancy and I haven't watched them in quite a while, so there could be problms with some of them. In other words, there are no guarantees. You can reach me at the e-mail address shown above.

Kaethel!!

Well, I have all the episodes on tape. 15 tapes, 6 eps per tape (except #1 <5 eps> and #15 <3 eps?>). I got some eps that I was missing from a very nice folc *years* ago and sat for DAYS and put them all together and in order. They're far from perfect, but they're all I've got until this dvd thing is resolved.

Mad Dog Lane...I'm worried that if you get tapes from someone...well, isn't there a conflict of technology between countries? I just don't want you to go to any trouble and find that you don't really have the episodes.

Sara (who needs to go email her friend TEEEJ 'bout some tapes...)

Some of the episodes are available at Supernova (look under TV Shows/Other)using bittorrent software. I think all of the episodes are available, but may be mistaken. There are also some old comics available from the same site.
There are many available bittorrent clients out there, including one at SourceForge.net.

My youngest daughter has discovered my L&C tapes (full set), and has been watching them while she exercises.

I have them all but one (and it's early second Season so I don't care - Lois was still looney and I find it kinda painful to watch her until the middle of Season 2).

I was surprised to find out that several of my son's teenage friends, as well as my 53-year-old brother are FoLCs, and I'm talking FoLCs with the episodes on tapes and who have voted for their DVD release.

So let's enjoy our tapes but hopefully we'll soon be able to watch Big Girls Don't Fly on DVD!

Well, that explains a lot. <g> I'd been disappointed to discover it was pay too, since I'd just decided I was going to crack this torrent thing.

Thanks, El!

I only have maybe season 2 to the end on VHS but I never recorded it on regular basis. Maybe I should get rid of them like Laura, it's just sitting in my huge plastic container of all my VHS. I don't have any organizaiton system to it. Some time I would record a new movie on the same tape.
