Has anyone else been having trouble with the WayBack Internet archive been really slow like it takes 10 minutes for the search results to show up then at least that much time for each page you try to click on?

I'm just wondering if it's something with Windows 7 are if it's just the archive.

Can you show an example of what you are searching?

Are other websites slow also, or only the Archive?

Only the archive is slow like that I've been trying to find old websites from different fandoms. I've tried three to four different sites one was fanfix.com a old star wars fanfic site and the others where old Roswell Fanfiction sites.

I just tried fanfix.com and it opened almost immediately (on Vista with Firefox 3.6).

It could be only your computer, but it sounds strange: the search is on their end, and showing the search results shouldn't slow down because of a certain system. I wonder if it has something to do with JavaScript.

Have you tried going to YouTube? Do you have a problem there?

I don't go to Youtube I wondering if it's something with Windows 7 or IE 8 not working right together? I play yoville on my laptop and I've listened to music on here from my space.

It's the only site I've found I'm having trouble with.

That's why I was asking about YouTube (as an example). I know that YouTube uses JavaScript, and so if you tried to play a video there and it didn't work, it would probably be a JavaScript problem (that exists in Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7). smile

Have you encountered any other website that complains about JavaScript not being enabled (or something like that)?

I bet it's my broadband signal because I've visiting my sister and I get better signal at her house and I can get the archive working fine here.
