I opened Mozilla Thunderbird and my entire inbox has disappeared. All the subfolders [emails like from DH that are automatically filtered] are still there.

Anyone? Help?

Yeah - I've tried a bunch of stuff - like creating a new user account and importing all the old files etc - only got back the ones I already had...

None of the inbox files have much in them at all. I could restore my profile [though I'd be afraid I'd overwrite everything I've gotten since then in the other folders - like my husband's - though those are also part of my new profile so...] and that woudl get me everything back through... march or so I guess...

Have you found a solution to the problem?

Also, could you tell us what software you have in the computer (anti-virus, firewall, etc.)?

This might help in finding the solution. I've read some pages that say that the interaction between softwares may cause trouble.

Oh, and which version of Thunderbird are you using? Was there an update recently?
