Anybody have a how-to on making your own desktop themes? (I'm usually computer illiterate, but I can easily understand most explanations.) So... anybody?

Desktop Architect is a software to make themes. I haven't used it, but all reviews say it's a great program and easy to use. It's freeware. You can find it here: Desktop Architect
