Hey all,

There is such a random wealth of knowledge that I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. The main program I have been using to pop in a regular DVD on my Mac is the free iDVD or whatever that came with the computer. But I've noticed that if I get like one scratch on the disc from wear-and-tear, suddenly movies that play just fine on my TV do not play on my computer. iDVD can't read them. Any suggestions?

Thank you!
JD

You might want to take a look at Videolan which is a free multi-platform media player with a very good Mac implementation. If it's a software problem a different player might be the answer. Won't help if it's the drive, of course.
