My new laptop USB connectors don't work. I sent a few hours today with Dell chat trying to fix it and it still isn't working. I've decided to wait until tommorrow before calling Dell and trying to get it fix again. Is anyone else having try with their USB connectors I'm using Windows XP so if anyone else is having this problem let me know.

What sort of connectors, and what aren't they working with?

Are you using something like a USB hub to connect to all of them, or is there something else in common apart from the computer itself?

What do you see if you look at the settings for the USB ports (go to Control panel then "system" then "hardware" then "Device Manager", "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" should be at the bottom.) Is there a yellow question mark there?

What about the control panel thing? I should mention that if you're using Windows XP you should go to "settings" then "Control panel" then you may need to select "classic view" to get to system and take a look at the device manager.

One vital thing I should add - DON'T TRY TO CHANGE ANY SETTINGS! Just exit out once you've taken a look.
