Hi, I'm notice that in the fanfic forum, when you haven't read a story the subject is highlights in orange. But in my all are gray. Its dificult to know which one you had read. Is this temporary? MAF

Hi Maria! Try this: 1. clear your browser cache and 2. update the post indicators from "my profile" at the top of the page. Elena Forum Moderator

Can I just add, since I had the same trouble and I just tried it, that you may need to close IE and restart it... Thanks for the tip, Elena, it all works for me now! Saskia

maria, what you're talking about is "new post indicators." they're updated when you visit the site (though it doesn't always work... sometimes you have to update them manually by going to "my profile" and clicking "update new post indicators").
the problem is that the server time changed. so, when you visited the site before the time changed, the boards noted that you were last there at whatever time it thought it was. then, the boards time was changed back 18 hours. so, it thinks you've been there more recently than you actually have. it should start working properly tomorrow. in the meantime, just look through all the posts in the forum and see what looks familiar. also, since you comment so consistently, you can check the comments thread.
one other possibility is that your browser should change the color of the links you've visited. so, look at the links rather than the indicator next to them.
hope this helps.
Paul
When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

I'm notice that in the fanfic forum, when you haven't read a story the subject is highlights in orange. But in my all are gray. This to me looks like a problem related to your browser cache. Have you cleared it? What you need to do is choose "Internet Options..." from the "Tools" menu in the Internet Explorer menu bar. Then you have to delete files (and maybe also cookies) from the section called "Internet Temporary Files". Close IE and restart it. This should make all the links appear as "unread" (i.e. orange and not grey). Sorry if you already knew this, but I thought I should mention it again. Let us know if that fixed the problem. Another thing you might want to try, Maria, is to clear the "History". It's still under "Internet Options...". Elena Forum Moderator
