Here is the original

[Linked Image]

Here is the modified.

[Linked Image]

There are 21 (21) differences. evil **

**As I have been told by my wife, some people may count multiple things as one thing.

Let's say that I removed something from the foreground. This would mean that I would have to correct the background to help 'erase' the object. I count this as two changes, not one (squirrely logic, I know, but it's my brain and I am sticking to it.)

Likewise, if I move an object to another location, and change it's size at the same time, I would call that two changes not one.

Some are obvious, some are really hard. One is darn near impossible, but then, of course, I am dealing with exceptional people here, so....

Have fun!
James

PS. I will be out next week, so expect some truly devious with two weeks for me to think about it. evil

Darn it! I had them ALL typed out, but I CLOSED THE WRONG WINDOW!!!!! Now I have to type them all again before I forget.

1) The white "crack" in the road has been removed.

2) The shadow from the blurry yellow vehicle has been removed.

3) The blurry yellow vehicle has been removed.

4) The road has been darkened.

5) Oscar the Grouch is sitting in the yellow can.

6) The tree on the right-hand side has been enlarged.

7) The middle window's detailing has been darkened to match the two on either side of it.

8) The trim on the door has been changed to one long rectangle, instead of a few smaller rectangles.

9) The suitcase has shrunk.

10) The man on the far left has a face now.

11) The man next to him has more of a body.

12) The vendor's cart has a sign on it.

13) The building behind the vendor's cart has a staircase with a black iron railing.

14) The under-side of the awning is missing its support structure.

15) The Hotel Apollo sign has been blackened so that it says, "FOLC."

16) The back of Clark's jacket says, "FOLC's Rule!"

17) Data's face is on the lamp post.

18) The circular pole-stop thingy on the right-hand side of the bench has been removed.

19) The "LOW RATES" sign has been brightened.

20) The hole in the nearer part of the curb has been removed. (That wasn't on my list before, which means I SHOULD get 22!)

21) The antenna on the car has been removed.

22) Darn it! I can't remember what the other one was that I found instead of the current #20. frown

Three more:

Taxi door has a handle now.

Numbers in license plate changed from 776 to 726 (or vice versa).

Feet of man sitting on bench move behind support bar.

We count some things differently. There are still 4 things out there. One of them is pretty big, so I'm sure it's your number 22. wink

DS, I'm impressed you noticed the hole changed in the street curb. Woody, man you got good eyes to notice that two changed to a seven!

I'll divy up points later. I'm going to bed. The nights are short when the toddler is teething. Yawn! Good night.

PS DSDragon, you're so good at this you might want to consider doing your own while I'm indisposed next week.

Yeah, daisy. I saw that, but I thought Darcy had mentioned it.

Oh, and the hubcaps were changed on two tires

Whoops, did I say 4 were left, I meant 5

However, 2 of those have been found, so we have 3 left.

Btw, I have decided to only state that there are at least x number of differences from here on out so that people will not stop once they reach x.

I admit that when I removed that car in the foreground, I didn't notice all the differences that DS found.

Again, I will divy things up a little later. I have to go skate to work in the icy mid west. keep me in your prayers.

Oh, I just stare at both photos until I see a difference somewhere. My photo manipulation skills are less-than-basic, especially since I don't have any photo manipulations software anymore. What program do you use?

I used to use Jasc Paintshop Pro, but I lost it when I re-built my old desktop computer. And I can't afford any software packages (for any purpose) at the moment.

Ok, not everything was found yet, but here is how it stands so far according to my list...

1. Changed the 2 into a 7
Found by Eagle-eyed Woody in their first post, second item.

2. Removed the {blank} on the {blank}.
No one has found this one yet.

3. Removed the
{blank} behind the {blank}.
No one has found this one yet.

4. Added Data's face to a light post.
Found by DS in their first post #17

5. Lengthened the {blank} next to the {blank}.
No one has found this one yet.

6. Lengthened square on door.
Found by DS in their first post #8

7. Remove antenna from car.
Found by DS in their first post #21

8. Grew the tree.
Found by DS in their first post #6

9. Blacktopped the street.
Found by DS in their first post #s 1-2, 4

10. Added stripes to road.
Found by daisymay390 in their first post first item

11. Removed ribs from yellow cover.
Found by DS in their first post #14

12. Got rid of hole in curb.
Found by Eagle-eye DS in their first post #20

13. Placed FOLC's Rule! on the back of Clark's coat.
Found by DS in their first post #16

14. Highlighted portions of the Apollo Hotel to read FOLC.
Found by DS in their first post #15

15. Darkened the wood of the window panes.
Found by DS in their first post #7

16. Brighten the Low Rates sign.
Found by DS in their first post #19

17. Put bar in front of the feet under the car.
Found by Woody in their first post Item 3

18. Removed speeding car in foreground.
It's things like this where I make 'one' change to the photo that results in multiple changes from the player's POV.
Found by DS in their first post #s 3, 10, 12-13
Found by Woody in their first post Item 1

19. Put in Oscar the Grouch.
Found by DS in their first post #5

20. Remove end cap on bench.
Found by DS in their first post #18

21. Person Moved behind car.
Found by DS in their first post #11

22. Enlarged Hubcaps.
Found by Woody in their 2nd post Item 1

DS's #9 is a false find. I never changed the suit case, however, one of the last three items not found is a size oriented change.

That was the one I was missing! *slaps forehead* D'oh! I thought I'd re-typed that one.

By the way, James, the name's Darcy (and I'm female)--you're welcome to call me by it. wink

Darcy, got it. It is not always easy to tell the gender online.

So, does anyone want any further hints? The last three are not that easy to find.

2. Removed the {blank} on the {blank}.
1 No one has found this one yet.
Removed the crack on the Hotel Apollo sign.

2 Removed the hole on the upper part of the yellow can.

3 Moved the guy standing on the left-hand side behind the yellow car a little further to the left. Besides, he looks more wishy-washy after being moved.

Ok, we almost have them all

2. Removed the black dot/hole on the yellow trashcan.
Found by Olympe in their first post #1

3. Removed the lines/cracks behind the Apollo sign.
Found by Olympe in their first post #2

Olympe's #3 is the same as...
21. Person Moved behind car.
Found by Darcy in her first post #11

Which leaves us with only one more to go

5. Lengthened the {blank} next to the _ _ _ r.
No one has found this one yet.

Good job Olympe!

Yeah, lengthened that little light-holder or whatever next to the door. Almost impossible to tell without referencing other points in the picture.

The ---r gave it away.

Don't feel bad, Mellie. I think I checked it at least twice before he the time I found it. The only way I could tell was by measuring it against the person's head and the top of the door. Real-size, he probably added an inch on both ends.

ok, I'm beginning to feel badly about the light fixture...

I compaired the size of the original (82 pixels) to the modified one (89 pixels) which means I only added about 4 pixels to either end.

I am using Adobe Photoshop and I use the Layering aspect so that I can always check what it looked like before I changed it. When I turned the layer off and on, it looked like a sizeable difference, but in reality, it wasn't.

Of course, I only removed 4 pixels to change the 2 into a 7 on that driver's plate...

That's okay, it just makes it more challenging. I could have seen that sooner. I looked at it several times but never used a reference point. It wasn't too difficult to tell once I compared its position.

Don't! It was fun anyway. Besides, that gave us non-Darcies a bit of a chance to find something of our own. She's just too fast and too good at this. wink

Maybe we ought to change the rules so that everybody who wants to participate sends you a PM with the differences he/she found?

Nah, just too bored. I've been stuck at home for the last three days, because until noon today I couldn't get out of my driveway. And before that, work was SOOO BORING, 'cause I'd finished most of what I had to do on Monday.

I like your idea about PMs though!

Okay, I posted my answers before I looked at anyone else's!!

Okay, let’s see if I can keep up with your ‘double changes’. I don’t know....

1. The yellow truck on the left of the screen is missing.

2. What was behind the yellow truck has been added - Lex... something or the other is written on it.

3. The supports of the yellow canopy have been removed.

4. The person under the canopy (the one to the right) has been moved.

5. The fancy scrollwork behind that moved person has been added or now seen.

5. The hubcaps on the yellow car have been changed.

6. The hubcaps of the yellow car are larger.

7. The radio antenna of the yellow car has been removed.

8. There is a face in place of the lamp on the lamp post. (Whose face is that? smile )

9. The lamp or metal thingy to the left of the door of the Apollo is longer.

10. The sign that says Low Rates is brighter.

11. The bars on the window above the Low Rates sign have been changed from white to a dark color.

12. The first ‘O’ in Apollo has been darkened.

13. The second ‘O’ in Apollo has had half of it darkened.

14. The lines going through the first ‘L’ and the second ‘O’ of Apollo have been removed.

15. The paint on the door of the Apollo has been changed.

16. The road is darker.

17. Yellow lines have been added to the road.

18. FOLC’s rule! is on the back of Clark’s coat. (Cute.)

19. There is a bar or something added to the front of Clark’s legs. It appears to be going across someone else’s shoes.

20. The muppet in the garbage can has been added. Oscar?

21. The tree or plant is taller.

22. The break in the pavement has been removed.

23. The bolt on the end of the bench(?) has been removed.

Okay, so how did I do?

Edit: Oh, man, you guys, I got the thing by the door in my #9. But look at all the stuff I missed.
