A friend of mine sent me this link and I had to share it.

"The Master Mesmerizer of Metropolis"

Doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's good for a laugh wink

clap

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

That was a silver-age story that tried to give a 'reason' why no one seemed to be able to tell that Clark Kent was just Superman wearing glasses.

It put forth the idea that Clark, while wearing the glasses was subconsciously using some form of super-hyptnotisim on everyone to make them think that Clark Kent looked more frail than he actually was. It was pretty silly.

When the relaunch came after Crisis, it was ignored.

LOL, that was hysterical. If anyone ever complains about unrealistic plotlines in fanfic, we should point them to this comic. Proof that "professional" doesn't have to mean "well done". <g>
