i've been editing this to update, but i realized it'll get lost soon if i keep doing that. so, i'm posting the most recent url in a new message. as long as i'm writing, i thought i'd ask... does anyone care if this does get lost? i mean, we could make a new tradition that you add the URL when you add a new pic, but then this thread would get pretty long. i could keep updating, and just switch from editing to adding new posts whenever it started getting towards the bottom of the page. or i could just leave it alone.

never really thought to do that myself, but yeah, i can see how just looking at the pics would be funny. as for winning captions, i dunno... it can be a tough call sometimes, and different captions appeal to different people. so, even if i did somehow find a way to include the winning captions, i think you'd be losing something. if you really want that, i suggest you go back through the threads (they're not that hard to find. just search in this forum for any threads that include the word "caption" in the title).
oh, and yes.. it's amazing how much we rely on christiane's site. it's even more amazing how many screencaps she has up there. it's a very impressive site.
jose, i just now realized what you meant... don't know why i didn't get it before. you mean that you think this thread should be "stuck" to the top, like the "picture posting FAQ" and "how to make a TOC" threads? interesting thought. it would certainly solve the problem of how to update it without taking up unnecessary space or letting it fall into oblivion. it's not up to me, tho; it's the forum moderators' decision. missy, sas, what do you think?
