Well, I wondered if it was The Source because of the mess around in the apartment and concensus on irc among my research group <g> is that it is. But OTOH, I don't recall seeing anything like that before. I mean...whoohoooo...how could I forget? Hubba hubba. So not that sure really. LabRat

Labrat, you are correct. It is the "Source" as Superman comes to help Lois clean up the mess. (And even index her cards ) Even though he floated outside her window a number of times, I thought that it was fair because the mess on the tables is a pretty good hint. There is a research group on irc? Well, let them help you pick the next picture. You are on, Labrat!

There is a research group on irc? Well, you know, those guys know everything. As one of our authors found out last night when she was looking for a drug to incapacitate Lois for a spell. Fortunately, we had a doctor in channel at the time. Ooooooooh, a picture. Okay, hang on.... All right - episode and what are they reacting to?

As one of our authors found out last night when she was looking for a drug to incapacitate Lois for a spell. Yes, and they were *so* helpful!! Injections, gasses, liquids, strangulation; we went through all of the possibilities. As for the pic, I know it's from The Phenoix cause I'd recognize that scarf on Lois anywhere. But I'm not sure what they're reacting to so I'll just take a wild stab at it. Is it when Perry tells them to go stakeout Bender's boat? ~Anna

Episode: 'The Rival'. Preceeding scene: the argument with Lois over 'what's her name?' and Clark tells Lois he's going to work at the Star.

That's the *bad* Superman from "Vatman". The next scene is where he tries to put his arm around Lois while they are sitting on the couch. Lois tells him to leave, Clark comes to the door, and .....lo and behold, stops Superman's arm with a firm grip. Artemis

This is a completely random guess (I figure I have a 1 in 88 chance of being right!) but is it Meet John Doe? I can picture the scene but am not too sure about which episode!

Yeah, I think it's Meet John Doe, or one of the others in that arc - were there two others? - and this picture is from when Clark gets sucked in through the quantum window (or whatever that thing is called), and Lois reaches out to him and he to her, but they don't quite connect, and he disappears. Either that, or it's the dream where that happens - the premonition... Very powerful stuff. Too bad I can't remember the other ep names in the arc...

Might it be from Stop the Presses, when he gets back, and he's trying to figure out what he's missed, including the psychic Jimmy called - or was it, going to call? Oh well, prolly not right, but a girl has to try, nu? Melisma (sliding back under her Rock to see what everyone else will come up with - and what the *right* answer is)

Oh! Um, is it Seconds? Clark just said hello to Lois in the wheelchair and she's like, "Do I know you?" or something and he's just kind of still kneeling down in shock after they push her down the hallway.

Episode should be fairly easy, but what I really want to know is why this particular scene is so strange.

Okay, I'll go on wild guesses since I haven't really seen these episodes but er...Battleground Earth and strange scene because... Ching hasn't got the "S shield" on his 'costume'? Because he goes for Clark in Lois' appartment? because...I really don't have a clue here!

OK...here is the scene...
Yes, Battlefield Earth.
Clark and the New K people have just returned in order to try to stop Nor who took contol of Smallville. Clark came and visited Lois out of the blue...wonderful smoochie scene...then Trey came and took Clark to the ship.
Lois is sitting on the floor of her apartment with cartons of ice cream around her, eating away her sorrows. Ching shows up and she starts half crying that they took him away, and telling him how much she misses him. And Ching tells her Clark feels the same way, and he says that he can relate because he likes Zara...and they come up with the concubine plan to get Lois on the ship with Clark.
*whew*
-Breanna (who thinks this scene would be *really* strange if Bugboy was playing Ching cause then Lois would be saying she loves Clark and Ching would be saying he loves Zara...when in real life Teri (Lois) and Jon (Ching) were married, and in the show Clark and Zara were married...)

Hold on, I missed something. Who's Bugboy? umm.. Teri Hatcher's soon to be Ex-Husband Jon Tenney. He played Ching in Through A Glass, Darkly and Big Girls Don't Fly. There have been numerous discussions about him and the nickname on Zoom's Boards. Here is one and here is another (for example). -Breanna (who is celebrating her newly aquired Kerth status!)
