Aha! You know, I think you're right, Kathryn. I'm recalling that in the original NK arc script, LNC were supposed to be married before Clark left for NK. Hence the Lois Kent plate, which made no sense in the revised script as filmed. It was a holdover from the original which someone forgot to remove.
