From the quotes:
1 Interesting. I would have guess that you chosen any of my stories, it would have been "Echolalia," or possibly "Little Boy Blue." Instead, you chose my "The Butterfly Effect" to lead off the quiz. smile
2 ?
3 "Yodeler's Song," by VirginiaR
4 "Coming Home," by Dandello?
5 ? I am sure I'd remember this quote if I had read the story.
6 "Dark Passenger" doesn't ring any bells.
7 ?
8 ?
9 This sounds like "Missing Lois," by VirginiaR. I know each author should only be represented once, so obviously my answer to either 3 or 9 is wrong; I suspect that #9 is incorrect, but I don't have a better guess.
10 "Dear Ojiisama" by Mary Potts aka Queen of the Capes

From the excerpts:
1 Still my story "The Butterfly Effect"
2 Still ?
3. Still "Yodeler's Song," by VirginiaR
4 "A Father's Kryptonite," by Anti-Kryptonite
5 Still ?
6 Still ?
7 Still ?
8 "I'd Know You Anywhere," by MozartMaid
9 "A Wellsian Tale," by Tank Wilson?
10 Still "Dear Ojiisama" by Mary Potts aka Queen of the Capes

Another fun quiz. Thanks, Michael.

Hi Guys!
So sorry this is a little late but didn’t get around to do much writing in the evenings. Glad you all had fun trying to figure out those results here:

1. The Butterfly Effect (Cpt. Morb), Lynn S. M.
2. Game, Set and Match (Lex Luthor), Dandello
3. Yodeler's Song (Perry White), Virginia R.
4. Father's Kryptonite (Jonathan Kent), Anti-Kryptonite
5. A Small Trap (Laura Kent), Richard Frantz Jr.
6. Hunt In A Red October (Dexter), Deadly Chakram
7. The Wonder of Love (Wonder Woman), Terry Leatherwood
8. Control (Lord Nor), Shayne Terry
9. A Wellsian Tale (H.G. Wells), Tank Wilson
10. A Boy in Kimono (Kei), Mary Potts

As usual (woo-hoo, this is a great crowd this season!) all authors who got picked for the quiz also recognized their stories! /hands out shiny gold stars to VirginiaR and Lynn S. M./

I did get a mention or two about extra credit for the character. I thought about it, too, but since it wasn’t done before, I kind of figured that that’s just me. We probably should check with Amber for next year, though!

Anyhow, not counting hypothetical points for getting the character right, too, the tally looks like this:
* Classicalla, the surprise late starter from last year, made another impressive showing this year with an almost perfect score of 19 points!
* Our thus far uncontested leader in the grand total, AntiKryptonite, earned a very impressive 18 points and second place.
* Deadly Chrakram secured a precarious third place with 12 points,
* tightly chased by Ultra Woman (11 points)
* and VirginiaR (10 points). This really is just like the Boonta Eve Race!
* Female Hawk leads the middle field this time around with 7 points,
* Lynn S. M. doing her very best to squeeze past (6.5 points),
* and ScifiJoan is just another half-point behind (6 points).
* Anna B. the Greek is another welcome surprise show and has earned herself 2.5 points on her first try.

The running total still remains a crazy affair:
* AntiKrytponite must be getting awfully bored out there beyond the sunset, but nonetheless, she’s racing like Deter’s on her tail with 129 points.
* VirginiaR is still secure in her second place with 82.5 points,
* but Deadly Chakram is getting awfully close with 80 points. Who will be second, and who will be third? It’s all up in the air, with just two more laps to go.
* Female Hawk, too, remains at her previous rank with 72.5 points. But the race isn’t done, yet, and surprises do happen. After all, who would have guessed that Lois and Clark would actually tie the knot before the dead? Instead of her just getting knocked up by Superman and then having a shotgun wedding with Clark wink
* Ultra Woman is another one of those firmly established contestants at her firth place (57.5 points).
* Lynn S. M. is at a nearly unbeatable sixth place with 50 points.
* Darth Michael also holds his spot at place seven with 36.5 points.
* Scifijoan increased her score to 24.5 points,
* but she’s chased by newcomer Classicalla (19 points).
* Mouserocks and Anna B. the Greek tie up the rear with 7.5 points.
* And last but not least, our honorary mention to LNCroxmysox with 0 points.

But wait, there’s more! We got another ton of recommendations:

* Abscent Minded Superhero (Mayson ) by The_Lois_Lane_Fan
* Blind (Super)Man's Bluff (Mayson and Shadow) by MLT
* Chocolate Lab (Moose) by IolantheAlias
* Dear Ojiisama (Yamato Ume ) by Mary Potts
* Echolalia (Jerome) by Lynn S M
* Everywhere (Lane) by Stopquitdont
* Gofer No More (Jimmy/Justin) by Lynn S. M.
* Green-Eyed Monster (Perry) by VirginiaR
* Lethal Qualities (Perry White) by AntiKryptonite
* Little Boy Blue (Ben Kent) by Lynn S. M.
* Trusting Me, Trusting You (“Shallingford” umm, should be “Evan Shadbolt”) by Female Hawk
* With Apologies to Female Hawk (Lynn's Muse) by Lynn S. M.

I've double-checked things. The basis was the running total taken from here . I only missed Anna's late entry in quiz #8, as far as I can tell huh

Yes, I gave extra credit last year.

I got my totals from a PM someone sent me. I never could find any in the quizzes. I think I've gone daft.

You did. [Jawdrop] Now that I managed to dig out *last* year's quiz *and* read the instructions to the end. You've been sneaky, not putting "Kerth" in the message title [Wink]
Most likely it was from being a bit daft and forgetting. At any rate, I went and fixed it for folks that look for it in the future.
