Up till now, the Archive Datasheet has merely recorded that a story is a crossover. It hasn't noted what other medium the story crosses with.

We think that's a bit of an oversight. So, from now on, the Theme Keyword "Crossover" will include the other medium. For example:

Crossover - Batman
Crossover - X Files
Crossover - Dr. Who

And so on. We'd also like to include that data retrospectively on as many crossovers as we can find that are already on the Archive.

So...over to you guys. I can do a global search for crossover on the data sheet and pick most of them up, but if you can give me any titles you know of, it would speed things up considerably. If you do have titles, do remember to include the other medium, too!

Carol M.'s "Superman Meets Larry Boy: A Veggie Tales Crossover" is a crossover with Veggie Tales

I know Marcus has written a number of crossovers, too.

Shayne Terry - "Strong" , and Marcus Rowland's "California Cousin" are "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" crossovers.

Becky Bain - "Timeless" is a "Beauty and The Beast" crossover.

I wrote "Pie Isn\'t All That Easy" which is a "Pushing Daisies" crossover.

Wendy Richards' "At Wit\'s End In The East End" is a "Doctor Who" crossover.

I know there are many more; these are just a few that popped into my head right now.

As Lynn said, Marcus has a *lot* of crossovers (and they're all fun to read!)

Labrat - Could you define the difference between "Crossover" and "Guest Star"? Batman sometimes makes what I call a "Guest Star" appearance in my stories, but as he's not a main character, I don't think we can count them as a "Crossover". Do I have the definition correct?

Queen of Capes often has Batman in her stories, too.

Thanks for these, everyone - this is a great help. It's also gratifying to see just how many crossovers we actually have and using such a wide and diverse range of other mediums.

Crossovers generally have characters from all mediums represented/interacting fairly strongly. If Batman isn't a main character, but only mentioned as an aside or as a footnote, then it probably wouldn't be classed as a crossver, no. But it would really depend on how strong a presence he has within the story.

That's an interesting delineation. Is it the author that decides if a character is a 'guest-star'?

If not, then we may want to include a whole bunch of LaraMoon\'s stories , which feature Bruce Wayne/Batman heavily.

For the purposes of the Archive, it's usually the EIC. We usually say that LNC must feature in at least a third of the story - but that's mostly to ensure that we don't get submissions from authors trying to get Superman stories past us where LNC only feature in one line.

Generally speaking, it's a lot more fluid than that. But LNC should be strongly represented because we are, after all, first and foremost, an Archive for stories about the LNC universe.

I've quickly skimmed a couple of Lara's stories and, yes, I'd definitely say that Batman is strongly enough featured in the ones I read for those to be considered crossovers.

In my story It Happened One Dark And Stormy Night , there's a villain from Charmed featured as one of the villains. I suppose it counts?

My newest one, Soul Desire, is a crossover between Lois and Clark, Xena, and Hercules. It is nowhere near archive ready though.

Everything written by David Schock is a Wonder Woman crossover, if you can call it that. (I still don't know how he got his stories on the LnC archive, to be honest.)

Would an homage be considered a crossover? I'm guessing probably not, but just in case: My story "The Gifts" would qualify -- It is a reinterpretation of O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi" as set in the L&C universe.

Speaking of Wonder Woman crossovers, there is also Terry Leatherwood's Wonder of Love .

Thanks, everyone. I spent the weekend going through the datasheet line by line, and I think I have everything picked up now.

I've done a couple of shorts that guest starred Wonder Woman, but they were both pretty obvious.

I also believe the two 'Faith, Hope, &...' shorts had guest appearances by Bruce Wayne or Batman.

Tank (who doesn't know if it qualifies as a crossover when there isn't really much of a story, and the crossover is merely a guest appearance)

Let's see.

'Only a Fairy Tale' and 'Not Just a Fairy Tale' are crosses with STTOS (the movies)

'Plane Storm' and 'After the Storm' are crosses with Superman Returns

'Lois and Cl - Kal-El', and 'The Smallville Connection' both cross with UFO.

'What Happens in Metropolis...' is a cross with Frazier.

Coffee at the Bakery, and Bakery Redux aren't exactly cross-overs. But they star the Lois and Clark from Smallville.

And I just realized I had two stories elsewhere that I forgot to submit.
