Since you helped me out with the last search I thought I would give it another go.
I'm looking for an AU fic in which Clark or alt-Carlk I don't remember which get sent to another alternate reality, in which there is no Lois and The two Clarks work to together to get him home and then I don't remember how there ends up being three Clarks and they take the Clark with out a Lois to a reality without a Clark?

Does any of that make sense at all?

Thanks for the help

Moo

Well, it does make sense, sort of, especially the "I don't remember" part. I think I read it two or three years ago, but I can't remember either title or author.

Was one of the worlds kind of low tech abd low population? I can't remember title or author either but I think that is part of the story.

I think so, but I can't really but sure.
It was in the first batch of fic's I read when I stubbled upon the fandom about three years ago.
I'm afraid that all of the stories that I read then are kinda a haze

I have some vague recollection of hearing about it. I believe it was an nfic only [which is why I only have a vague recollection...] IIRC, there was an nfic sequel about the Clark that went to the world with no Clark and TV...

Don't even remember who it was that told me about it...

Know that doesn't help much but...

For some reason - and I could just be making this up as I go along, given the state of my memory these days - I want to say either Yvonne Connoll or Cynthia Haste for the author.

Cynthia wrote a story called Roving Reporters, I think, which might have been nfic only and which my brain is saying might have had a plot along those lines....

But I could be sending you on a complete wild goose chase really. laugh

Hey, you gotta tell us which story it was! LOL, don't leave us hanging.

I think it was "Roving Reporters" by Cindy Haste ... am I right?

So...come on, don't keep us in suspense. <g> What was it?

I'm keen to know if my brain was actually on point for once - although I'd be deeply surprised if it was.

That has to have been Roving Reporters. I read it half a dozen times at least when she first wrote it.

Nan

PS: On another note, I'm still working on the sequel to The Hottest Team in Town, and will start posting when I get enough of a buffer that I don't run out of story if I hit another dry spell. Unfortunately, the story is on my desktop computer, which I don't dare turn on until my husband gets back from travel and has a chance to look at it. Three of its cooling fans have completely stopped running, and I'm afraid I'll burn up the computer, thereby losing everything I've written in the last week.
