Forgive me for gushing a little, please. After seeing the competition, I'm pretty sure my name won't be called. But just being nominated is a huge honor! I love to see those little "Nominated" icons on my list of stories. It validates my efforts to know that people are receiving some enjoyment from them, and it makes me want to write more.

Congratulations to all the nominees! And y'all be sure and vote for your favorites during Kerth voting time! I already know where some of my votes are going.

Things have been so hectic that I haven't had a chance to check out the Nominees thread, much less comment. I see some of my stories have been nominated, which is really nice, considering how little I've managed to write in 2008. My thanks to everyone who thought enough of what I did manage to contribute. I was afraid that they would hardly be noticed, next to some of the really incredible stories I've read in the last year.

Also, kudos to the K-Committee, whose work on the Kerths is amazing.

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier, but I've had RL taking up a lot of my mind...even Elisabeth didn't notice until like two days ago.

I know I don't stand a chance against the likes of Never Tell Clark - Richard Frantz Jr., which had me rolling, but the honor of getting nominated is wonderful.
