If you want to hone some of your writing skills, The Muse Online is holding its annual writer's conference. Although a lot of the focus is on becoming a professional writer, it is still a good resource for L&C fanfic writers. I attended last year, and the workshops are very helpful. Here's a selection of some of the workshops you might find interesting:

Adding Suspense
Before Copy Editing
Bring Your Characters to Life
Dialogue Workshop
Fine Tune Your Writing
Organize Your Writing Life (especially for those of us trying NaNoWriMo in November)
Using Descriptions Effectively
Writing Sex -- “Hands on”

You can checkout the descriptions of the conference workshops and sign up at the Muse Online . The link to registering for the conference is in the left-hand column of that web page.

Looks like a useful resource, Sheila. Thanks for the link.

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.
