I'm in the mood for some nice progeny fics -- I remember two I'd like to reread but for the life of me can't find them.
#1: elsewhere --- clark and lois meet overseas on assignment and sleep together. She comes back pregnant and goes on with her life. The two meet up years later and Clark adjusts to fatherhood. Also, their son possesses the power to heal.
#2: Superman sleeps with Lois while disoriented- and Clark moves away for a reason I don't remember. He comes back to Metrop to recieve an award - and finds out Lois has had a baby. Martha visits and has a baby pic of Clark and Clark puts it all together.
Any help is much appreciated.

Also, their son possesses the power to heal. Cause and Effect by ML Thompson? The child is a girl, though. It's a wonderful story.

Thanks, Jojo! That's the one.
Ultrawoman - that wasn't one I was thinking of, but I'm definately adding it to my list of to-reads tonight.
Well, that's one down.

I totally know the second one but can't pinpoint it right off. I'm gonna have to do a little searching on it.

Hmmmm. I just love the stories where Clark gets Lois pregnant accidentally. Well, because I love it when they are totally carried away by their love and desire for each other. Oh, it's great when Lois gets pregnant after they are married, too, but I think it's more romantic when they get totally caught up in something they just can't control. And when that leads to pregnancy, too... hmmmm... yummmmmmy. Unfortunately, there haven't been too many stories like that recently. Ah, but Squid - Stopquitdont - wrote a new one recently, When Galaxies Collide. And, Visiongirl, have you read Squid's What Are Friends For? It's one of my favorites. Also, why don't you try reading Nicole Sullivan's To Wake From Dreams? That one is just so romantic. <sigh> Ann

Sheez! This thread's filled with a whole lot of... me ! Thanks, guys, for reading my drabble. And for reading it again! Every time I see SQD now, I read it: Squid! I've read Not a Day today and it's very, very good. And thank you SQD, for another great story. You're welcome! at first it was kind of weird to read a story where lois and clark really are only best friends and neither one is in love with the other and it was even more weird to read that lois wanted to have a child but didn't exactly know where to find a father for that child. but well, what are friends for... ? How about one where Clark is the one looking for someone to have him a child? Or one where Clark is really, really affected by some of Miranda's perfume and really, really needs some feminine attention? Think Lois would step up to the friendship plate? Should I post them here on the boards first, or just send them straight to the archive? SQD (who is slinking back into her hole now)

I thought I had dreamed up #2! I'd been looking for it forever, but had finally decided that I had it mixed up with "It Happened One Super Night", but couldn't understand why I kept thinking of Martha commenting on why Lois' child looked so much like Clark's baby pictures... Glad to know I'm not crazy after all!
thanks!
