As many of you know, we're starting the ball rolling on the fundraiser for the following sites:

here , but this thread is about story submissions for the DVD.
Originally, the plan was to invite authors who had been nominated/won in the Short Story category of the Kerth awards to submit stories to be included on the bonus DVD. This was because we thought short stories might work best for this project.
However, we soon found that this was too narrow a criteria for us as we kept coming up with names of terrific authors we'd love to include who weren't on that list.
The list grew and grew and grew until...
...change of plan. <g> We've decided instead to simply throw it open and invite all FoLC authors to submit a story if they want to participate in the DVD project.
There are a few guidelines we'd like you to stick to:
* Stories
must be previously unpublished. Please note that your story will be available only on the DVD for a year after its release. Once the year is up you'll be free to post it anywhere you like, but not before.
* Gfic only please, no nfic.
* Story can be any length, there's no limit on kb. But please remember that we're hoping trailers will be made for many of the stories used, so don't make it
too short. Give the vidders something to work with.
* Story can have any content - so long as its within the PG13 rating, of course. We're not looking for any one particular theme or genre. It can be angsty, WAFFy, Aplot...whatever strikes your Muse. Goes without saying, it should be about LNC. <G>
* Stories intended for inclusion on the DVD must be submitted to the eddress below by November 30th, 2005. No stories will be accepted for submission after this date.
* All submitted stories will be GE'd. The editing process will begin from January 15th 2006. Please do make it easy for our volunteer editors by ensuring your story is as polished as is possible for you to make it, before you submit it. Use a spellchecker and, if possible, have it beta read, so that most errors, typos etc are weeded out before it gets to us.
