I tried to go to the archive today and got a blank page with the word 'neptune' on it. Is something wrong with the archive?

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Have you tried again recently? I had no problem whatever accessing the page, and there's a great new Kaylie Kent story in the "What's New" section! hyper

You might need to clear your cache, Laura, if you still can't get to it ... fortunately, it all seems to be back up and running now.

I don't know what the "neptune" stuff was all about, but it may have been down earlier because Lauren just added four new stories.

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

i still get "neptune" when i load http://www.lcfanfic.com but i do see the front page when i load http://www.lcfanfic.com/index.html and i can properly load http://www.lcfanfic.com/whatsnew.html which then has links to the other parts. not sure if it's my cache that's the problem with the first url or what, but the rest works now (it didn't yesterday).

That's really weird, Paul. I just typed in www.lcfanfic.com directly and it worked fine, as did your link to the index page.

However, your link to the What's New page didn't work because you typoed it in your post ... it's actually .htm, not .html.

But I honestly have no idea why the main page would be working for some people but not others. huh

No, me neither. It seems to be up and running okay for the majority.

As for the mysterious Neptune <g>, to quote Lauren:

Quote
Neptune is the name of our server, the machine our site shares with other Web sites.

Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.
