This is a new story by Aiken on the FanFic Archive. I really enjoyed it and the ending was interesting point of view for Superman. I hope she writes a sequel Since its not on the message boards, I thought I'd post it here. Here is a link: Superman Undone

I'll second that recommendation. A truly fantastic story. Make sure to read the equally poignant prequel Lois Unbuttoned. Annie

Yup, I loved this one. I'm not sure that the author is a member of the mbs, so please do email her (eddress in the story file on the Archive) if you enjoyed this story and give her some encouragement to write more! Trenna, just in case you're wondering why I muscled in on your post <g> the link wasn't working because of double code, so I just went in to quickly fix it. LabRat
Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly. Aramis: Yes, sorry. Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Yep, I loved both of these stories, too. Email of appreciation has already been sent. I hope that we see more from this writer.

Thanks for fixing the link, Labrat. and for the reminder to send an email to the writer. That's absolutely important when the story is only posted on the Archive And I seconded the recommendation on Lois Unbuttoned!

Thanks for the rec Trenna, great story!! I just exchanged some very pleasant emails with the author and encouraged her to join us on the boards. The best news is there may be a 3rd story in the works!! HOORAY! ~Liz
Lois: Can I go? Clark: No. Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go. Clark: Then why do you ask? Lois: I’m trying to be nice.

The best news is there may be a 3rd story in the works!! HOORAY! ~Liz Hooray, a third story! It's funny because the episodes she chooses to work with are the ones that I get bored with on tv because I've seen them a jillion a times, yet she (and you guys too) have me hooked into them in fanficland. Yeah she needs to come play with us here. Jen

The extent of my cooking skills:
Clark: Haven't you ever made soup before? Lois: Yeah. It's called opening a can. Sometimes I even go a little wild and heat it up. --Momentum OMG, I'm a sig quote, I'm a sig quote! Wow, talk about making my whole month! <g> Thanks for the story recommendation. I haven't read it yet but I *adored* the first story (Lois Unbuttoned) and received a very positive response back when I wrote Aiken (totally gushing <g>) about the story. I'm thrilled there's a second story up, and even more thrilled to hear there may be a third! I definitely plan to write her after I read this current story and I hope everyone else does, too. Maybe we can even get her to come play with us here on the boards. Kathy

You know, I think it has taken me longer to compose this post than both stories put together.
Um...hi. And thank you for the really, really nice feedback. Really, thank you.

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed. He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement." "You can say that again," she told him. "I have a...." "Oh, shut up."

hi aiken! welcome to the boards! i'm glad you're here. i've really enjoyed both your stories. you have a very lyrical style, and great use of imagery and symbolism. was a tad disappointed that there was no revelation in superman undone, but other than that, i loved every bit of it. btw, if you haven't seen it already, i suggest you take a look at this thread on the archive message boards. anyway, welcome to these boards. have fun, and post more fic! Paul

Is it bad form to return here over and over, to wallow endlessly in your generous compliments?
Thank you. You just have no idea.
And for the link, too, Mr Hatman, of which I was unaware and, you know...wow.
( I know, supposedly I am good with words.)
And did MissyG just nag me the tiniest bit?
Cool.
I hate it when my kids do it, but here it feels entirely different.
Did I say thanks? Really, I mean it, thanks.
CC

nope. not bad form. these compliments are our method of making sure you write more. so the sooner you get hooked, the better. and hey, thanks for writing and sharing great fic. anyway, welcome again. oh, and do call me paul. hatman is just my not very secret identity (old thing from a chat room... nevermind). i always find it odd when people call me hatman. okay, off now. have fun playing. write more. Paul

Is it bad form to return here over and over, to wallow endlessly in your generous compliments? Heck no! That's one of the really fun perks of writing on these boards It's also part of our carrot & stick arrangement... first we shower you with praise, then nag you relentlessly until we get more stories Now get working on that third story! This one was great, but ended on a slightly alarming note, so you need to fix that, pronto. Just imagine, with your next story, you can post here in installments, and accumulate all sorts of great comments on each and every part! Can't beat that with a stick... PJ and have I mentioned that I love your sig file?

Is it bad form to return here over and over, to wallow endlessly in your generous compliments? Oh dear, I hope not! I'll have to admit that whenever I needed a little inspiration to write, I reread my comments folders for AM. LOL. Wallowing is a good thing, in my book. <g> Caroline

Hey Aiken! Glad to see you around. See? I told you these FoLCS are a nice bunch! Cris (not nagging, but hoping she finds the third story somewhere in this boards and in not a long time )
