Does anybody know the first headline where Lois and Clark shared a byline? Any answers would be much appreciated.

Caroline

Wouldn't that be the Promethus story?

From the Pilot script:

It reads: MESSENGER SABOTAGED, SABOTEUR DIES IN FIERY EXPLOSION. The by-line is: Lois Lane. Contributing reporters: Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen.

So...I guess that really isn't a true Lane and Kent byline?
Jen

EDIT:
Ok, I'm still looking. In Strange Visitor, they couldn't really write the story because of the UFO hoopla. In Neverending Battle, they're stealing stories and playing tricks on each other. But THEN, in I'm Looking Through You, after they talk to Alan's wife, there's this conversation:

CLARK
But there's no evidence to
suggest that Alan Morris is an
armed robber. The man was giving
money away. Why is he now
stealing it?

LOIS
Fine, we write the story. But
admit it, Helene could be wrong.
After all, nobody really knows
anybody.

Thanks Jen!!! That was a *big* help! And it also means that I get to make up their first by-line. <g> Where did you find the scripts, by the way? Online?

Hey, check the edit, if you read this. You still get to make up the byline, but it just happens to be a different subject. I found something earlier in the same script.

That's the script haven that I pulled it from.
