I have a question regarding psychic partners. Obviously, they don't know when the other is in danger before they ever meet each other, but after they meet, they do. What starts the connection. Alan half-linked with Mark in 'Mercenary' when he saw Mark disembark from the "Wolverine" right after it landed. That was obvious, because Mark was able to track him through dense forest, when he shouldn't have been able to. Of course the link got stronger after they actually met. Nan Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.
