An idea worth looking at folks. If not this Kal El possibly an AltVerse Clark? In a world without the Kents and without Lois he might be more willing to go with them.

In a story I wrote, Connections, alt -Clark meets Zara before he knows Lois and does decide to leave Earth, But then he meets Lois and things become more complicated. Perhaps not quite the total premise suggested in that Lois Lane is in the story, but it does start with that premise.
