This was cute and touching... and very funny in a few spots <g>

PJ

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Aww! Lovely response to Tank's smile1

Kaethel smile

- I'm your partner. I'm your friend.
- Is that what we are?
- Oh, you know what? I don't know what we are. We kiss and then we never talk about it. We nearly die frozen in each other's arms, but we never talk about it, so no, I got no clue what we are.

Great answer to Tank's challenge.

I loved the different pictures. It was almost liking seeing those computer mockups of someone's face with different hairdos.. laugh

Very sweet relationship story...can this be the guy who broke up with Lois when she cut her hair in the next episode evil

Okay, I was able to get to this one.

Typical of Wendy wink . She writes a very good story which does adhere to the guidelines set up, but she has to get her way in there also.

She's not happy to just give in and write the story that follows the challenge. She has to include ways to get in her own personal preferences also. The woman is incorrigible.

The part at the end puzzled me though. Stating that if this Wilson character wrote MORE than a thousand words by the end of the year she would grow her hair back out to the longer pilot length was a bit confusing. This is supposed to be incentive, how?

Tank the Resting (who will grudgingly admit that half of his conditions have been met, but is having a lot of fun with all the other challenge efforts... and wonders just what picture did Bethy bring to her stylist way back when)

Wendy, this was great!

My favorite part was the nod to Tank -- and the deal for growing it back out! laugh Although...this could backfire...he could take that as a reason *not* to write anything over 1,000 words, in order to keep it short. eek

One nitpick:
Quote
“How about Flyboy?”

His bark of laughter had sealed his fate. Farmboy it was.
She said Flyboy and then Farmboy it was.

Loved Wilson, I did, truly - although really, that was such a big clue that anyone with half a brian could drive a tank through it
So, it's official then. I have only half a brain (or brian). Or less, probably, since I can't drive a tank.

Alicia, I was slower than you by far on picking upon that joke.

Otherwise, Wendy, it was a triumph (but then we'd expect no less). You caught that immediately post revelation togetherness beautifully.

Oh, and the bald reference... H'm. Was that telepathy at work?

Great story, Wendy! I especially love how Lois included Clark in the decision.. and the "deal" they made. Shall Wilson be that prolific? rotflol

Hooray! This was so much fun! I loved seeing all of the different pictures, and the idea of Lois including Clark in the decisions was cute - almost as cute as is wanting to be a part of the decision, and the proess. I have to admit that I'm awfully glad Tank issues this challenge. The rest of us certainly are benefitting from it.

Very cute, Wendy. I caught the Wilson joke right away, and I especially liked the ending, with Lois astounding Clark by mentioning their wedding. LOL!

And of course, I also like the style Lois decided on ... the JSN cut is my favorite of her shorter styles (I'd love to find a good photo of it to take to my own stylist, though I know I won't look like Teri even if I do smile ) so I definitely appreciated that. smile

Sweet, Wendy - and what everyone else said. <g>

Picking up on the Wilson joke - I guess it would depend how aware you are that it's Tank's surname. I mean it's not as though he uses it frequently, now is it? goofy So not surprising some would miss it.

Hi all! Sorry I've been so dilatory in responding to all of your kind comments on this little challenge response. I've been away for a few days, and came back to a (wonderful) fic explosion! smile1
