Since the setting is the Monticeto Resort and Casino or the setting of Las Vegas the television show, most of the characters are from the show Las Vegas. Delinda is the daughter of Ed, the head of security. Mary is one of the main characters and I rely on her a lot. Sam is sort of left out of this because she is Casey's ex-wife. When I first saw the show, Las Vegas, they had Casey ducking in back of a desk to hide from Sam. He walked around and did absolutely nothing. So we worked long and hard to give Casey a personality. (After all, Dean has lots of personality.)

The Mike you asked about is a regular on the show. He is part of the regular staff of Las Vegas. Danny is the most used person beside Ed in the Security office, but Mike is very present.

On DH, I used the names of people, but the only person who is featured other than Susan was Julie, her daughter. When I spoke of the Daily Planet, Perry was the only other person mentioned in passing. SO most of this story is about Las Vegas staff making Lois and Clark, as well as Susan comfortable in their setting. The poker game I used names everyone knows only because I wanted to give Casey a reason for being at the Casino. He seemed to be only the money man with no reason to do anything there at the Casino, so I figured a job for him with friends of his in this high stakes game.
