Great point, Mike. It really is more of a Jonathan/Martha/Lois story than a Lois/Clark story...
I tend to pretty much always focus on the relationship between Lois and Clark when I read fanfic, but because this story is so strong--on so many different levels--I never had even noticed that it centers away from our main characters overall.
It's written in first person--with Lois having a
ton of personality--and that is what gets me the most...the word choices, what she is thinking to herself as the story unfolds. How she adjusts to the changes in her life. How she adjusts to the people that she meets. The narration is done flawlessly.
Might just have to reread again sometime (soon
