Good thinking questions.
The first one was a no-brainer for me; I'll always vote for the best story. Who wrote it just doesn't come into play when I make a decision.
I had to think about the second one for a bit, and I finally decided I wouldn't vote at all if I was nominated for something. I mean, let's say it was a close race or something. I wouldn't want to be the deciding vote in my own category. I'd rather let the rest of FOLCdom decide what they think is the best story, and there are plenty of other categories for me to participate in.
