True, there's a lot of Bernie in them, although they're not completely written from Bernie's POV. However, the story and its prequels/sequels/all-around-els* are greatly recommendable.
(*: You'll know what I mean with that when you read them. All I'm going to tell you right now is that there's some (benign) time-travel around.)
