I've never seen the show -- though I have heard about it and chuckled to myself that it sounded like some L&C AU fanfics <g> -- but I'd definitely read this story if you wrote it. I was intrigued by this little snippet (especially since L&C are married, so this isn't going to be one of those "bring in an outside love interest" kind of stories) and would like to read more.
