I've been mulling over this for quite some time..

The setting's post-House of Luthor. In order to deal with all the emotional upheaval, Lois writes a novel but the publisher doesn't like it and tells her to change some things. So she revamps her novel where in the heroine is a cop (I think her name is Linda or Laura or something)... soon the plot reflects events in her real life including her finding out Clark = Superman...

Any ideas?

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.
