I read a story quite awhile ago about an alternate universe where Lois & Clark were doctors and Clark still found time to rescue people and then Lois found out and thought he was such a good guy and of course they feel in love...I can't remember any more of the story though sorry.

Lois: You think we'll be together when we get old and gray.
Clark: I sure hope so because I don't think I could go on living if living is without you.
