Weird thought - what if when Lois goes out to the sewage processing facility she stumbles across a huge story. Maybe Luthor has goons dumping toxic waste there, maybe it's where Bureau 39 or the Men in Black are based. Whatever, she now has to convince Clark etc. that it's real, not an elaborate revenge plan...
