Here\'s why. You know I think I remember a cartoon that actually got that kind of right. I may just be remembering wrong but a character was falling towards the center of the Earth and once he went past it he yo-yo'ed back up. But instead of going back to starting points the characters back and forth lessened till he was floating at the center.
