Continuous Fundraising Efforts
We have an estimated running cost of $360/year thanks to all of Michael and Annette’s hard work. Our goal is to have a healthy rolling balance of three years’ worth of expenses to make sure we always have enough money to handle expenses that are large lump sums once every three years (hello, hosting!).
Right now we’re fully funded through most of 2026 and with continuous smaller donations, we can keep it that way, too, without the need of a large-scale fundraiser, even though those are a lot of fun too (story time! artwork gifts time!).
The funds we raise will go towards paying for these MBs, the Kerth Awards site, the nfanfic archive, and the lcficdirectory.com. This includes domain names, hosting fees, the software we’re running, and (if needed) support.

PayPal
To donate, simply just click on the PayPal button, where you will be taken to the Paypal site to make a cash donation. (You’ll see KathyB’s name, as she’s the holder of the funds.)
If you live in the US, PayPal does not charge fees for sending USD to a friend. For those outside the US, PayPal charges both a fixed fee for the international transfer and a variable fee for the currency conversion. To avoid those, you can check out the next section bank transfers.
Bank Transfer
For FoLCs outside the US, we have set up a WISE account in KSaraSara’s name to help facilitate international donations. (WISE is a service similar to PayPal that lets you accept international money transfers in a variety of currencies without the steep fees that PayPal charges. The currency will then be converted on our end at a competitive rate and a much lower fee—e.g. 0.44% for GBP.) To help save on transfer fees, the money will be held in the WISE account until there’s a lump sum to transfer to KathyB. As with the PayPal account, this WISE account will be used for nothing other than FoLC donations.
You can direct-deposit funds via bank transfer in the following currencies:
EUR (Euro-Zone)
If you pay with EUR and can use a SEPA transfer, you can transfer us the money via the following bank account information:

Since the payment is in EUR and done as a SEPA transfer, no currency conversion fees apply on your end and the transfer typically costs the same as any domestic money transfers you perform. The money will arrive according to SEPA regulations, which normally means up to two banking days but likely already on the next banking day.
When sending the money, please specify your message board user name and the purpose (e.g. LCFICMBS Donation or special event details like an auction payment) in the reference field.
Your name as it is on your bank account will known show up when Sara receives the transfer (please be assured the info will remain confidential).
CAD (Canada)
If you live in Canada, you can do an Interac Autodeposit domestic money transfer in CAD, thus avoiding currency conversion fees as well as international money transfer fees.
The registered Interac email address is skfolc[at]gmail.com. You’ll Sara’s full legal name (eep! 🫣), and your name as it is on your bank account will show up in Sara’s email (please be assured the info will remain confidential).

GBP (United Kingdom)
If you live in the United Kingdom, you can do a domestic money transfer in GBP, thus avoiding currency conversion fees as well as international money transfer fees.
