there are a number of new pages were sent to me by a friend, including the first page of script text, which I was missing. All the new pages were from the July 29, 1993 Production draft and thus are earlier Extra "Gold" pages were supplied by another friend: they are pages: 36, 50 My original copy had: Pink 8/3/93 Yellow 8/4/93 Green 8/5/93 This means... there are a lot of "duplicate" pages of different ages, so you can see how the script progressed from original to final in some cases. "*" and (X) used in script probably means "this changed from previous version" notes: To pop everything into place... use Courier 10 (or 10 proportional characters per inch) set top margin at 0.5", bottom margin at 0.5" (or minimums) (I had to tell my program that my primitive printer was using legal-size paper) left margin at 1", right margin at .25 (or minimum) Extra "Gold" pages were supplied by a friend: they are pages: 36, 50 Typos noted: "Flourescent" was misspelled several times - I don't know this was in the original or due to my friends' scanners... page 28 (no color version) "invisible" is misspelled "invisable" near top. Possible uncaught scanner error page 53 (no color version) "terrific" is misspelled "terriffic", center of page. METROPOLIS SQUARE - MORNING - (DAY ONE) 1 A crowd has gathered in front of the Daily Planet to witness the MAYOR's presentation of the Key To The City to Metropolis' newest celebrity. Dignitaries and past recipients of the Key (including LEX LUTHOR) are on a specially-made platform. In the crowd, we recognize some of our Daily Planet Staff: PERRY, JIMMY, CAT and LOIS. 2 CONCESSION STANDS 2 line the street selling Superman T-shirts and toys, wind-up dolls with bobbing heads, etc. Two tourists pose with a life- sized cut-out of Superman. One thing is clear: "Supermania" has hit Metropolis. 3 IN THE SKY 3 Above the crowd, _SUPERMAN FLIES DOWN AND LANDS ON THE PLATFORM_. As the mob goes crazy, Superman turns to pay his respects to the men and women on the platform, shaking each of their hands. When he comes face to face with Luthor he hesitates, but it is Luthor who takes Superman's hand in a firm shake, publicly displaying none of the immense displeasure he feels in having to do so. 4 ON THE STREET 4 Lois strains to get a look at her hero. She pushes her way up to the front, shouts above the din. LOIS Superman! Superman, it's me! Lois Lane! She's unable to get his attention, relegated to just another admirer in the crowd. 5 LEX LUTHOR 5 takes the microphone. Superman stands by his side, very uncomfortable in his proximity to the man he knows to be the personification of evil. Luthor is all smiles and sincerity.
