Hello FoLCs,
As my recently posted story. "Dr. Friskin's Letter" points out, it would not be too much of a stretch to imagine that Dr. Friskin might figure out who Superman really is. My challenge to any and all is to use this as the basis for a story. What would she do with her suspicion/knowledge once she had it?
I look forward to reading any stories which may result from the challenge. :-)
cheers, Lynn S. M.

To me, the trouble is with Dr. Friskin's character. She's obviously highly professional, and we know she will keep patient confidentiality. As you wrote about her in your fic "Dr Friskin's Letter", I really can't see her blowing Clark's secret deliberately. So it would have to be a different kind of tension/drama. Not sure what yet.

If she figured it out before That Old Gang of Mine there is an obvious plot. Clark vanishes and Lois gets suicidal. Does she break doctor patient confidentiality of one patient to save another?
So some similar conflict.

I like that idea! TOGoM was earlier in season two than the Dr. Friskin episodes, but there have been plenty of other fanfics which have played a little fast and loose with many aspects of the show. A little rearranging could work. Alternatively, a story could have Clark "killed" a second time.
Hmmm...There are definite possibilities there. Would you like to write it? If not, would you give permission to others to use your idea as the basis of a story? (I'm not sure whether I would want to tackle it myself or not, yet; I'd have to think about it a bit more.)
cheers, Lynn

I seem to be incapable of writing fiction. Programs, documentation yes, but not something fictional. So I'd love to see one of the ideas I get and can't write written.

I'm bumping this one. I seriously loved the Dr. Friskin character and find it a fascinating thing to consider this dilemma.
-------------------- CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx. JONATHAN: A jinx? CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me. -"Contact" (You're not her jinx, you're her blessing.)

Actually, I'm pretty sure there's a story where Dr. Friskin narrates her suspicions about Superman into her Journal but I don't remember the title.
Sign...Someday I'm going to just download the entire archive so I can do a full word search.

Hmmm, it might be Racotuer's The Longest Road Series.

Lynn, it was Dr. Friskin's letter that I was thinking of. I don't think I remember Racotuer's The Longest Road Series--I guess it's next up in the reading list.
